Granite Carts for Easy Installation
All natural stone slab installers know the difficulties of handling heavy stone, particularly when installing these slabs into their forever location. Undeniably, some of the riskiest operations of the workshop involve the lifting, handling, and transportation of sizable stone slabs. The management of this process poses a significant safety hazard unless appropriate equipment is utilized, and all safety handling practices are adhered to.
The EZ Installation Cart was designed to address this issue. First showcased at the 2020 TISE show, our granite carts presented a straightforward solution to the frequent problem of transporting stone to a job site. The EZ loader followed soon after and was specifically engineered to complement the EZ Installation Cart, combining to form a system that eliminates the need to manually lift heavy stones both in the shop and on the job site.
No batteries? No power? No problem!
Our specialized granite carts are designed to transport and position heavy granite slabs safely and efficiently onto cabinets. The EZ Installation Cart is a purpose-built solution designed to streamline countertop installations. Its unique design eliminates the need for extra hands on-site, keeping more of your workforce productive in the fabrication shop. Constructed with robust materials and dependable mechanical components, this cart requires no electricity for operation. Its equipped heavy-duty roller bearings also allow for stone installation in any direction, providing flexibility and ease.
The biggest asset built into the EZ Installation Cart is the pneumatic air cylinder with an air control valve. Once the cart is positioned next to the cabinets for installation, the control valve is closed to trap the atmospheric air in the cylinder chamber, while the cart table with the island is still in a vertical position. As the cylinder piston closes in during the descent of the table, the air gets trapped, and the air pressure in the cylinder builds up to a point where it will finally bring the table with the island to a stop.
Depending on the size and weight of the island, it is normally at about 15 to 20 degrees from horizontal. Installers can then check if everything is in order and line up for the final landing of the island. Here, the control can be opened slowly to let the trapped air out and allow the cylinder to release the resistance. By letting the trapped air out, the island will land safely on the cabinets.
Unique features of the EZ Installation Cart:
Collapsible loading brackets for versatile 360-degree installation.
Roll tops to easily transport slabs with minimal effort.
Knee-activated mechanism to release the tilt from locked vertical transport position.
Rubber frame bumpers to ensure door frames remain undamaged.
Moving Stone Safely
Whenever possible, the transportation of slabs should be executed using an A-frame. This method is efficient and prioritizes safety, ensuring the secure placement of the slabs and significantly reducing the risk of operator injuries. One such A-frame that exemplifies these qualities is the EZ Installation Cart. Constructed from high-quality materials, the EZ Installation Cart combines strength, resilience, and reliability, making it the ideal carrier for your stone slabs.
The robust structure of our cart can withstand the weight of heavy slabs, providing a firm and steady support system during transport. The use of superior materials in its construction also contributes to its longevity, so you can count on its performance for years to come. Moreover, the EZ Installation Cart design considers the practical aspects of handling and moving large slabs.
